An Unlikely Messenger

I have told my kids that all gifts are from God. Santa is simply His messenger - like when we get a package from their grandparents and the mailman delivers it. Jesus shares his presents with us on His birthday, and Santa is the person He chooses to deliver them (for now!). Truly, all the gifts we have ARE from above - and the fact that He blesses us and enables to buy presents for our kids is from Him. He chooses which messengers to send - a virgin to carry His Son, shepherds to be the first to worship Him in a manger, angels to carry His message, etc. So, sending a jolly old fat man to deliver His gifts isn't all that far off from the truth, I think. :) :) :) My kids are excited for the birthday party tomorrow and for their presents that Santa will deliver tonight.
