"Swimming"

Caleb loves to color in the bathtub with washable bath crayons.

On Monday, we were invited to go swimming with friends. I said sure and quickly got the kids changed and out the door, completely forgetting my camera. They enjoyed the time out and even got to float on some rafts! That evening, we stopped in at Grandpa's house to deliver his birthday present. We didn't stay long, but I know he always enjoys company.
Joshua always wipes off the crayon markings when they're done. He's my helper and likes things neat!

On Tuesday, Ma-maw invited us over to swim in their pool one last time. The temperature was hot both days that we went, but the water was pretty cold since the nights have been cool. We checked the water temp and it was 78 degrees. We've been spoiled with 80-90 degree pool water that felt like a bath! Both boys really enjoyed swimming, though. When we were done, I took them grocery shopping. We had already stopped at the produce stand before going over. When Shawn got home, he had also bought some of the same things I did. I surveyed our fridge and couldn't believe all that we had stuffed in there!

Dairy: Milk, Yogurt, Cottage Cheese, Cream Cheese, Provolone Cheese, Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded Cheddar Cheese, Blue Cheese Crumbles, American Cheese Slices
Vegetables: Cucumbers, Peppers, Onions, Tomatoes, Lettuce, Broccoli Sprouts, Peas
Fruit: Watermelon, Apple Slices, Whole Apples, Cantaloupe, Grapes
Protein: Steak Tips, Ham Cubes, Chicken Slices for Salads, Burger, Baked Beans, Eggs
Drinks: Diet Soda, Bottled Water, Grape Juice, Milk, Wine, Champagne, Beer, Meadow Tea
Condiments, Salad Dressings, Etc: Too many to list!

That's in addition to what's in our freezer & pantry. Needless to say, we've been eating healthy this week. Fruit for breakfast, salads for supper, etc. I'm hoping we don't let anything go bad!
Tuesday night, we got the kids their ice cream cones that they earned from their "Make a Splash" summer reading. They ate them on the back deck and enjoyed them tremendously! It was officially the last day of August, signaling summer had come to an end. As we were going for a walk the other night, Joshua noticed that there's a few leaves starting to change colors. Here's to a nice Fall!
