Beach Pictures - Part 1

One of the gals we went to the beach with emailed me some of her pictures, and I thought they were too cute not to share. Just look at Joshua in his sunglasses, loving the beach! And here's Caleb Luke. Both boys are wearing 12-month swim trunks/outfits.
Since Abby & Emma were sitting so nicely and Joshua decided to join them, we tried to get a group shot of all the kids. But, Caleb & Isabella were NOT interested in getting their pictures taken at that moment. It was a great effort anyway.
Here's Daddy trying to help the boys build a sand castle. Caleb's got the sand sifter and the Bean has the shovel.

Abby decided to join the fun! We 'bought' a new sand toy from Babies 'R Us before leaving. I had a $5 gift card from something I returned and this toy was exactly $5. Woohoo!
Isabella was checking out what the boys were up to. She took the little wagon around in circles around and around our area.
The second day we were at the beach, the water was more calm so Don & Chris took the boogie boards out. In the meantime, Lisa was with Isabella at the water and Daddy was with Joshua. The Bean LOVED the ocean.
Here's Joshua looking "too cool for school" in his little chair with his new sunglasses. Really, he's taking a break for a snack. Abby is very intrigued!
Caleb wasn't all that sure about the ocean. He didn't dislike it, but he hadn't made up his mind this trip. That's a good thing because then he stayed right with us!
Here he is enjoying his new chair from Aunt Erica. Love that it has a cup holder since none of the rest of ours does!
Here's Lisa & Isabella, Melanie & Emma and little Caleb Luke:
Isabella got her turn with the boogie board.
Here are the daddies playing football and the kids in the middle waiting for their turns to catch!
Don decided to use a little watering can from the pool as his cup-holder to keep his drink cold. We laughed and then dared him to drink out of it (why? who knows?). But, I was surprised when he did it! Haaa!!! I love that he can be serious and yet joke around, too. We heart the Dehart's. :) :) :) I also thought Emma's little eyes in the bottom of this picture were cute.
Lisa snapped the picture below for us girls. We saw lots of "scenery" while we were at the beach. The first was a life guard with a ripped body that was ancient, and yet puffed out his proud chest. Then we saw this old man in his tiny speedo, again just as proud as could be (see behind Mel in the photo below). Melanie pointed out another woman in a swimsuit that was priceless.
Joshua didn't mind the sand one bit. I LOVE the beach, but sand can drive me a little crazy. I know it's part of the package deal, so I get over it, but he seemed to actually enjoy it. Wet sand, dry sand, sunshine, ocean water, he was game for it all!

Here are the boys with their friend Isabella:
And here's the Bean with Abby and Emma. I think he was getting in on their photo.
Oh that little Caleb Luke! He hates sunscreen! But, that's again part of life when you've got fair skin and want to be outside.
While he was unsure of the sand, he LOVED the baby pool and all the toys in it. Great idea! I can't believe Lisa blew it up every day by herself!
I thought this picture was cute of Caleb in front of the condos. The place we stayed was right on the beach, which was great for hauling down and back all our stuff. Caleb also had the misfortune of getting hit by seagull poo the first day, which mainly got his shirt. Poor little guy!
More beach pictures to come!
