Grant's Birthday Party

Joshua's cousin Grant turned 8 the Monday after Joshua's birthday party. So, that Sunday his parents invited the family over to Lititz Springs Park after church to enjoy pizza for lunch to celebrate. We told Joshua that this party was for Grant and we were done celebrating his, and he did very well with understanding that the attention was moving on.
Ryan LOVED Lititz Springs Park (an understatement). That child was totally impressed with the ducks. We took bread to feed them and he was all about it! There were times we feared he would jump right into the water to get them. :) :) :) It was adorable to watch.
The other kids also enjoyed feeding the ducks. (Sorry for the quality of these pictures - I took them with my phone and should have wiped the lens, obviously).
It was actually pretty chilly that day and windy. I ended up borrowing Brian's sweatshirt even though it was sunny out.
We ate in one of the pavilions and sang happy birthday while Grant blew out his candles. Afterward, the kids went to the playground to play.
The cousins have so much fun together!
Ryan played and played, but then he got tired quickly as it was nap time.
I tried to get a picture of all of them together. This was the best one below, I think:
Here were a few others:
Grant shared some of his toys with the boys that he had just opened up as gifts (not to keep, of course, but just to play with while they were there). I thought that was really nice. They all had fun!

Eventually Ryan got so tired that he was more than cranky, so we called it a day and took him home to rest. But, we had had a good time. Happy birthday, Grant!
