What a difference a day makes...or even a month. Two months ago, Caleb wasn't walking well, wasn't really communicating, was still nursing, etc. Now, all that has changed. He runs to keep up with his brother, is saying more words, is completely weaned (and has been for a while now) and is doing well for his age! Here's a picture of him sitting in his new music chair.
Last night as we were playing, I told Caleb "no thank you" when he went up to our end table to touch the picture of his older brother. Caleb walked away, shaking his head no. Then Daddy said something about a belly, and Caleb lifted up his shirt and patted his belly. He really understands what we're saying, and he responds some. He is doing more pointing and saying "eh" and Shawn reminded me today that we need to emphasize the words before just handing him what he wants to encourage his vocabulary. Yes, it's true! It's that time again! Where has this last year gone?
Caleb has no fear and is all about keeping up with his big brother. He also LOVES to dance, which is one of my favorite activities that he does. Whether we're in the car, strolling along or playing, when music comes on, my little guy can get down!!! I love it!
The other thing he started doing recently is kissing everything, when he's in the mood. He's kissed our arms, our legs, the table, whatever he can reach. He's a sweet little guy!
And I haven't seen any more eyes rolling. So hopefully (glory to God!) that's over! We want him to be 'advanced' in other areas, not something like that! Happy 13-month birthday, Caleb Luke!
