Today's Treasure

Psalm 90:14 "Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days."

According to Proverbs 19:22, a man's greatest desire is "unfailing love" and John 4:16 tells us "God is love." After reading that today, I decided to go back and switch the word "God" for "Love" in 1 Corinthians 13... "GOD is patient, GOD is kind. He does not envy, He does not boast, He is not proud. He is not rude, He is not self-seeking, He is not easily angered, He keeps no record of wrongs. GOD does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth. He always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. GOD never fails."

This Thanksgiving, I am most thankful for a loving God, who loves us completely and satisfies our deepest desire for unfailing love. According to Beth Moore, when God fills us with His Holy Spirit and meets our inmost need for love, it lets others off the hook for having to boost us emotionally - if anyone else shows us love it's "overflow." He is a great Savior! And, I'm thankful He showed me His love through my wonderful family and friends. May each one be blessed through Him!
