Reflection 49: A Good Dose of Bible Reading is Your Best Cure for Doubt

When You Make Your Bible Your Number One Read, You Make Your Soul Healthy.
Doubt is a common affliction. Its symptoms vary, but the most common ones are fear, worry, a reluctance to move forward, and confusion. Doubt can make a man question his choices and fail to use his talents. It can blind him to the bright presence of God in the middle of sorrow or difficulty. But therer is a powerful cure for doubt, and I hope you'll always reach for this cure when even the smallest symptoms of doubt arise. The cure is your Bible. In its pages, you'll find megadoses of courage, hope, insight, and guidance, and evidence of love far beyond what even I, your wife, can ever give you. I hope you'll dose yourself often, because if you do we'll both benefit.

'No spiritual discipline is more important than the intake of God's word.' ~Donald S. Whitney

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105
