Sarasota Saturday

Saturday, February 27, we again woke up together just before 8 am. We used the fitness center together, and the water pressure of this Marriott was out of this world. I also enjoyed the hairdryer, and overall we had a pleasant stay. We were off and got breakfast on the road since this hotel didn't offer a free one with the stay. Then we went to more open houses.
Our first stop was this amazing 13,000+ sq. ft. home that originally sold for $8.4+ million dollars. It was a little over the top for me, though. I think you could lose your children in there! It had at least six bedrooms that we remember counting, two offices (Shawn posed for the pictures in the 'male' version), a 1,500+ sq. ft master suite (I'm also posing), a massage room right off the master (pictured below), lots of separate little kitchenettes in case you were too lazy to walk over the kitchen to get yourself a drink, a game room, several sitting areas, an outside patio that was incredible (which you can see part of from the pictures), etc. But, my absolute favorite in this house was the theater room (see the leather chairs in the photo below), which in my opinion was done to perfection with the decor, amenities and seating choices. :)
After touring that first home (this is one of the views from upstairs showing the library), we walked to the other model next door. That one was on sale for just under $4 million and less than half the size of the other one. I actually liked it a little better in some areas. Here I am in the 'man cave' game room, and the other photos are of the most adorable boys' bedroom & bath that we thought our kids would love. The one thing I didn't like, though, was the fact that it had marble leading up to it outside. Saturday it rained in the morning, and I nearly fell on my 'guess-what' leaving the house. :) I literally skated back to our car.
Thereafter, we tried going to several more open houses in a development of Lakeland Ranch, FL. However, AXEL was notorious for taking us there on roads where there was no entry because of the community being gated. And, we discovered, that parts of Florida are notorious for not allowing you in and not giving you any direction on how to get in. That would be great if you lived there, but not so hot if you wanted to visit. We eventually gave up and decided to go back and see the boys. This was, after all, my first time being away from Caleb ever and we've only been apart from Joshua one night at a time and not for very long. We were already on our second night in a row.
We went to Mamaw & Papaw's house, and the first thing we saw was Caleb playing with an airplane, flying it over his head and making the 'zoom' noise. It cracked us up! Both boys were wearing adorable new outfits purchased by Mamaw & Papaw, and both were playing with some new toys. It looked like they were having fun. Eventually, we decided it was time to find our new travel destination - this time, we were staying in Fort Myers for the rest of our trip. Shawn's family took us to a nice restaurant near there called Mimi's. I had a scrumptious shrimp wrap, and I enjoyed seeing the boys.

Thereafter, we parted ways with our boys once again and Shawn & I checked in at the Hyatt Place, and it was fantastic! (See pictures below of the comfortable king size bed, the great sectional, the nice office & kitchen area, the bathroom, and the big screen.) We bought some drinks to stock our fridge at Walmart, and then we went back and watched 'The Hangover' together, which was funny but pretty dumb overall. We enjoyed having time to watch a movie and snuggled together on the sectional, laughing at the dry humor.

And that pretty much ended our Saturday... our vacation was more than half way over already.
