Great Uncle Vernon has gone to be with Jesus

We got a call from Shawn's Grandma Kennel this morning - who referred to herself as "Aunt Anne" - saying that Uncle Vernon passed from this life to the next last night. She was quite upset and trying to reach Shawn's parents with no success since she forgot to dial a one and the area code. I think in her grief she's a little more flustered than usual. Uncle Vernon is Grandpa Kennel's brother. Here is a picture of him and Aunt Mildred, lovingly referred to as Shawn's "twin" since they were born on the same day. Aunt Mildred stitched us a beautiful quilt for our wedding, and we love both of them. This is a sad day on earth and a glorious day for heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
