Here Comes Santa!

I completely forgot to post about our first Santa experience. When we returned the goofy Christmas tree on Sunday, November 29, we heard an announcement at Walmart that said Santa was going to be there for free pictures. We finished our shopping and ventured to the back of the store. Joshua was timid at first, but eventually climbed on Santa's lap and asked him for trains for Christmas. Then I put Caleb on Santa's lap. Caleb immediately screamed like he was being tortured. Whoops! I guess he's too young. :(

That night, Joshua prayed to Jesus before bedtime and said "Thank you, Jesus, for Santa and for him bringing me trains." It was adorable.

Yesterday, I had to be at the Surgical Center at 8:30 for my gall bladder surgery. I didn't realize that they puff your abdomen up with air to be able to see what they're doing. My entire insides hurt, which they said was normal. They are also concerned that patients don't keep vomiting, which would send them to the hospital. Afterward, I was nauseous but I kept everything down so I could go home. Mom stayed with the boys yesterday while we were gone (we didn't get home until after 2 pm and then Shawn went and got my prescriptions filled, etc) and then Bonnie came over today. I'm so extremely tired and sore, but I guess I shouldn't expect to just bounce right back right away. Caleb kept asking me to hold him, which also breaks my heart since they said no lifting over 15 pounds. Shawn came home from work with these pictures (which I had completely forgotten about!) and some poinsettias to cheer me up. What a man! Joshua & I watched the end of the Polar Express movie we had started last night, and life is feeling a little better. Please keep us all in your prayers! I'm feeling like Caleb looks in the above picture. But, we are blessed. Nonie made us dinner in the crockpot and my friend Becca brought over a delicious looking dinner we'll hopefully enjoy tomorrow, and Shawn's parents sent gift cards in the mail for the fam to enjoy dinner on them while I'm recovering. I've also received get well cards with Christmas cards and lots of nice notes and comments on Facebook. It's nice to feel loved during recovery. Please continue to pray that I feel better and can move around more. I HATE not being able to get out and go or play on the floor, etc.

Hope you enjoyed the Santa pictures as much as I did. I LOVE my boys and my incredibly thoughtful hubby!
