Labor Day

Sunday was the fantasy football draft that Shawn does every year with his friends. So, I knew I would be home most of the day with the boys by myself. So, that morning I planned a little shopping excursion with my mom just to get out before Shawn left. We went while the youngters took a nap and had a great time. I got a new pair of jeans in a smaller size (LOVE that feeling!) and a pair of shoes and then a couple things for the boys. It was fun being out! And Shawn had a great time with his friends.Unfortunately that afternoon Caleb started vomitting. This was the first time he's ever been sick since he was born, and he looked so helpless and terrified. Poor little one! Poor momma cleaning everything all by herself as her husband was out having fun! (Just kidding, my love - you deserve time out.) After a few episodes, Caleb seemed fine and happy once again and then was hungry, just like Joshua. Later that evening we got both boys outside to play some since it was a nice night outside and fall is quickly approaching! On Monday, we were invited to Shawn's Uncle Jeff & Aunt Stacy's house for a cookout and pool party. Unfortunately it was too cold out to swim, but we had fun eating and chatting. Joshua especially loved playing with Aunt Missy, and he told us on the way home how nice she is. It made us smile. He says the cutest things - for example, on the way home we saw a radio tower and Joshua proclaimed "WOW, Dad! Look at that big stick!" He said something similar this past weekend when he saw a big, loud Harley and said "Dad, that's a nice tricycle!" Haaa!!! The kids got to see a frog outside and play with their cousins (who are pictured above). Unfortunately, Caleb was exhausted but refused to sleep with everything there was to look at, so he was pretty fussy while we were there. But, such is life! I'm just so thankful he's feeling better. Thus ended our last weekend of summer!

"Hi:

Two things

1) I’d like your permission to (re)print your article on The Goode Family
for our website

2) I was hoping we could use your ‘scribing’ talent for our website.

The Best Shows Youre Not Watching (dot) com [all one word]

The Goode Family is one of our featured shows. We’re hoping to round up a few people who can occasionally contribute perspective (via an article/blog) on the shows – maybe a recent episode, future direction, plot shortcomings etc.

What’s in it for you?
Primarily a larger audience back channeled to your blog. We don’t pay but the site has a lot of promise and we're pretty excited about getting it off the ground. Let me know what you think.

Thanks
