Cherry Crest Adventure Farm

After we got off our train, we walked up to the entrance and found Daddy and Ryan playing on the trains at Cherry Crest Adventure Farm's entrance.
We walked in as a family and began the day's adventures. The boys did the straw maze, where the idea was to get through to the end without ever having to turn right.
I asked the boys to pose for a picture in the farmer hats. Cuteness! :)
The older boys played pickle ball with daddy for a little bit. In the meantime, I walked with Ryan to get some lemonade. He got to see how they make it!
Ryan also liked playing in a little kiddo splash/play area, but it was too small for the older boys.
We went to the giant jumpy. Even though Joshua was about an inch or two too tall for the little kid one, he seemed far too small to me to be on the adult one yet with the other teenagers on there. So, we told him to go with his younger brothers on the one with the smaller kids.
We thought Ryan might like to bounce, too, since he likes bounce houses and the bouncer at Universal.
But, this place was busy. And once he fell, he couldn't get back up.
So, I asked the boys to help scoot him off to the side where I could scoop him up. Poor guy!
We did the tennis ball sling shot game, the kids played on the spider web, and Shawn let the older boys go in the bigger straw maze, much to my annoyance. I hate that thing! You can't see in it at all and there's no way for kids to get out once they are in. It's dark and there's a ton of kids. Our boys didn't come out for what felt like forever, but they finally made it through. I did NOT want to have to go in after them since I am claustrophobic, and I worried about Joshua and his breathing especially. The boys were fine, though, so I guess I need to relax a little.
We went to this "sports" area next, which I had never seen before. There was basketball shooting, football tossing, baseball throwing and soccer ball kicking. The only bad part was that Cherry Crest didn't have anyone at these stations and I didn't see very many parents around. That meant it was basically a free-for-all with no real order or lines to get the balls and not a lot of kiddos following directions. We tried to take turns and go where the stations were less crowded. By this point, it was late afternoon and Ryan was more than done. But, we didn't want to leave yet when the older kids were having such a good time. So, I walked him around.
He did love playing with the balls, though, when he had the opportunity!
We ran into one of Joshua's t-ball teammates and classmates. I enjoyed chatting with his mom for awhile.
The boys climbed on this stationary horses.
And then we went into the "Simon Says" corn maze. It's a much smaller version of the adult corn maze and at each station, you spin a wheel and it tells you to do something. For example, one of the spaces we landed on told us to march like ants and sing "The ants go marchin' one-by-one..." as we went. Another one said to hiss like snakes and slither down to the next one, etc. The boys thought this was fun. :)
We played a little ping pong and did a bean bag toss thereafter.
The most fun was the giant slide. Caleb decided to do the tube the first time round, so I raced Joshua and his friend Abe on the three-person slide.
Since there wasn't much of a line, we went over and over and over again. Sometimes I would race Caleb or Joshua or both and sometimes they would go down the tube instead. Caleb always let out a high-pitched scream in the tube and Shawn & I giggled that it was our child sounding like a school girl when he was out of sight. Haaa!!!!
The older boys could have stayed there all day!
There was a water trough right next to the slides where Ryan enjoyed playing.
He was soaked but having a great time!
We kept climbing and climbing to slide more and more! It was a steep hill!

You can tell Caleb's having fun!
After the slides, we did the pedal carts for the boys. Again, it wasn't really manned by anybody working so there were kids doing more than their allotted laps around, etc. But, it didn't really matter. Eventually both older boys got to go on a car. I went with Caleb in the smaller lanes since that's where his height said he should go, and Shawn helped Joshua with the bigger cart since he's now in the next section.

Since I was helping Caleb, I didn't get any pictures of him, but I obviously took plenty of the Bean!
Even though the older boys could have lasted longer, it was supper time and Ryan hadn't napped yet. So, we decided it was time to go. The minute our little buddy was buckled, he fell asleep. We had had a fun day!
But, the fun wasn't over yet. We stopped at the library to grab a couple books and then headed to Walmart to pick up Joshua's new bike (thanks, Mamaw!).
