Mamaw & I went shopping on Wednesday, March 28, while the older boys were in preschool. With little Ryan along for the ride, we started at the Children's Place, hoping to find Easter outfits for the boys. They didn't have anything dressy, but we did find an adorable t-shirt for Ry-guy that said "Let's Do Lunch" with food on it and she bought the older boys each a pocket t-shirt, Caleb one with blue & white stripes and Joshua one with green & white stripes (their favorite colors). They LOVE them! :) Since we hadn't gotten Easter Sunday outfits, we pressed on to Carter's where we didn't find anything and then to Oshkosh. They had an adorable shirt that Ryan can wear now that snaps at the bottom and is dressy - SO CUTE (thanks, Mamaw!) but no dressy clothes for the older boys. I guess people don't dress up their boys anymore for church??? So, with no luck thus far, we decided to spend the remainder of our time at Ann Taylor looking for us. We had better luck there. :) :) :)
We found several things to try on, and it was fun to look. I ended up with a pretty dress to wear for Easter and another shirt/sweater combo that was discounted. Mom also got an outfit. We always have fun shopping together, even if we don't buy anything. It's fun to try on and look. :)
The following night (Thursday evening) I called her and said that I needed to run into JCPenney's to grab our family pictures, would she like to go along? She said sure, so I picked her up. We had success finding the older boys Easter outfits with ties there. They were also fairly inexpensive, thanks to its new pricing structure. The following week I saw outfits with ties at Walmart, but surprisingly what we paid at Penny's was cheaper.
The pictures of these glasses are from Saturday when Mom came over to watch the boys for us. She brought my nieces Grace & Faith along, who had spent the night at her house. They called to see if the boys would like lunch from McDonald's and she got them happy meals (something we don't usually splurge for). So, they got these cool glasses in their boxes, which they had fun wearing. Aren't they adorable?
