We went swimming with Mamaw the last week in June before she left for vacation on the 28th. I knew she had a very exciting present for Caleb to open, so I suggested she give it to him early so she could enjoy his reaction.
He read the "mail" first.
Then he began to tear into his gift.
He needed scissors to open the box.
And he carefully examined all its contents.
First he saw a stylus.
And some games...
And then out came the DSi XL that he's been wanting!!!!
I'm not sure that he fully understood that this was his own to keep and play. But, he has played and played and played with it ever since. He loves the games and that he has his own DSi to play. Joshua immediately asked to play with Caleb's. They can now share games and enjoy playing.
Eventually we started limiting the electronics time, but we let him play a ton from the time he opened it to the end of his birthday. He is THRILLED with it! Thank you, Mamaw!!!
