I asked Shawn if we could come to Leola for lunch on Monday, August 12, to "feed the ducks" again. We just LOVE Hayloft Candles. We had been trying here and there to go, but either it would rain (go figure!) or Shawn would have lunch plans. So, this day worked out great for our family
Here's Ryan enjoying the pig.
The boys love to feed the ducks and swans!
Here's Daddy on his lunch break!
I was afraid that Ryan might jump in with this little duck, but he didn't!
Here are some of the other animals we saw along the way:
Caleb especially LOVES animals and has no fear in feeding them.
Ryan loves the ducks! He even quacked back to them!
Then we saw this Himalayan cow (or at least I think that's what the sign said).
He was hungry this day!
Caleb giggled that she licked his hands (YUCK!).
We continued to walk around the pond, where we discovered this family of baby ducks!
Eventually we wound up back at the entrance, and we fed the goats. I felt bad that the big goats would overpower the little ones and try to eat the food we were handing out.
The boys sat on the swing in front of the donkey, and I thought it might be a good opportunity to get a photo. Maybe not...
We said goodbye to the ducks and dropped Daddy back off at work. But, since it was SO gorgeous out, we continued on to more outdoor adventures.
I decided to stop by Stoner Park on the way home. We LOVE sunshine! It's unfortunate that the park only has one bigger swing now.
The kids enjoyed sliding, though, and climbing when they weren't swinging.
I remember when this park seemed too big for Joshua. And now it seems too small for him.
We left eventually when it was time to get Ryan home for a late afternoon nap. It had been a fun afternoon!
