On Sunday, December 5, our life group served meals in a group home as part of an "Inside Out" project that our church does. Each one of the six couples baked a lasagna and garlic bread and brought along salad and cookies for dessert.
We had went to church that morning but by the afternoon, Shawn was feeling sick. So, he stayed home with the boys and I went 'representing' our family. There were roughly 25+ people who ate in the dining room that night, and many asked for seconds.
Jill (pictured above), one of the singers from our worship team, also lead some Christmas carols. I loved that the bow looks like it's on her head!
Here are Karisten and I doing dishes. She & Ginger took turns washing, and Andrea (also in the picture below) & I dried them and put them away.
All the pictures are courtesy of Vanessa, who is pictured below taking a picture of the group with her in it!
Meanwhile the guys enjoyed socializing as we cleaned up. :) I think we all enjoyed ourselves, even with 'serving.'
Before we left that evening, we took a group picture. Two of the couples brought their children since they're older, and one couple couldn't make it (and of course, poor Shawn was missing). Merry Christmas!
