Here are pictures of Joshua's first attempt at eating. He did a great job! He wasn't exhausted, didn't fight with us over the spoon or dip his hands in the bowl, opened his mouth some of the time to accept the spoon immediately, and didn't spit it all back out. I think he actually ate quite a bit. When he got tired of being there, we called it a day. Hooray for our big guy!
I'm ready for a messy meal, he says!Unfortunatley, Joshua did not sleep much this weekend. In fact, last night he was up almost the entire night. Ugh!!! Hopefully we can get him back on schedule this week so we have a nice weekend with Grandma & Grandpa Ginder this coming weekend!

Loved the silly daddy story, Val! Shawn just needs to dress the baby more often so he knows where things are. :)
And don't worry...hands in the food (and then the hair) will come soon enough! Enjoy the peaceful eating you are experiencing now. The other night we just hoisted Jude out of his seat and into the tub because there was just that much peanut butter in his hair I thought he would be mistaken for a piece of Easter candy!
See you in a few day!
Julie
